I this interview I get to discuss Jirbie’s interest in aromatherapy and essential oils. How she came to be interested in these disciplines, where and when she learnt the necessary skills to become a practitioner in the Philippines. We talk about the history of aromatherapy and essential oils, where the interest and practice originated from along with some of the benefits in everyday and mind/bod/spirit practices.

I ask Jerbie to explain exactly what is the difference between aromatherapy and essential oils, what are some of the more well known plants they originate from and what are their uses. We got to talk about Jirbie’s other practices such as natural soap bars and candle making, along with making custom jewelry and silversmithing and about how she has grown to be one if the foremost experts in the Philippines through her brand Couch Wasabi.

Finally Jerbie explains the difference between price and availability from when she stated up to where she is now, the interest explosion that has lead her to teaching her skills remotely and helping farmers out during the pandemic lockdowns. Jerbie is also a podcast host and animal welfare ambassador ( as if as she wasn’t talented enough!).
